Thread: New Jeep Owners

    Default New Jeep Owners

Anyone else getting the same cold shoulder from the new Wrangler owners with the drive-by acknowledgement? I know I may be sounding petty but I enjoy my Jeep's. Call me crazy.

There are a lot of soccer mom types that don't know anything about the jeep wave so don't worry about it.

For what it's worth, I have a JK that is built and I get shunned fairly often from older jeep owners. Maybe I don't have a real jeep.

You are crazy (well you asked us to say that).

You are discovering what many of us have learned...any one can by a Jeep. Unlike the loyalty that breeds from the ownership of a Harley Davidson, Jeep ownership is sometimes just the vehicle in the driveway. This sense of loyalty is not lost on Jeep; regardless of your vehicle of choice, there are those that don't understand or appreciate what their vehicles are capable of in the way of opening doors of adventure.

Take solice in the fact you are part of something much bigger, for adventure and nature are awaiting your opportunity to explore.

We have a JK and TJ. I find almost equal that folks don't give the Jeep hello. It is interesting to see the same folks that don't wave. I put them on my hit list...I'm going to break them down...I will get them to wave.

I will say I was on a couple of Jeep forums when the JK 1st came out and the old TJ, CJ folks were ripping them big time. I like the on road ride of my wifes JK...she has the unlimited. There are not enough horses in that machine. I love my TJ for in the woods...I wish now I would have discovered the Jeep before I purchased my ATV.

    Happy Easter to All,

    Dave

    Wrong.......... after 1990.

Seriously though, I don't wave at any stock jeep regardless of age. Call me a snob but to me, you don't fit into the fraternity without mods.

Come wheeling with me & try to keep up. Then you can retract your statement.

Thanks, Bob for the man/woman jeep statement. Most people assume that my jeep belongs to Ray.....just before I hit them.

Of course...to be a real jeep, it MUST be a manual. Automatics take the guesswork out of everything

and I wave to anyone/anything...I'm just friendly like that. (really, I just forget what car I'm driving because I'm old )
