It's my first time near a computer since the Clean Up.
We stayed at the cabin and then went to the GLFWDA Quarterly.

    WOW!
    What a day!

A HUGE thanks to EVERYONE who braved the biting wind to come out!
It looks like we set two new one-day records for the event:

    1) 165 cubic yards fo trash collected
    2) 1200 tires

    Yep! thats 1,200 tires!!!!!!

We found 5 pieces of identifying information that will be turned over to Law Enforcement. One piece was dated 4-1-10, so that might go a ways to reducing the re-dumping that occurs.

Jimmy Gretzinger of Michigan Out-Of-Doors says that we'll be on in 2-4 weeks, so stay tuned on Thursday nights at 8pm on PBS! Of course, after watching MoD, stay on that station for my favorite TV program, The Red Green Show too.

Also a HUGE shout of thanks to all of the equipment donors!
We wouldn't have reached 165 yards without your kindness!

Thank you to the Two Trackers Clean Up Committee.
They did an excellent job putting things together this year.
And an EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU to Kelly Santose, the Committee Chairperson.
She did an AMAZING job coordinating everything.

    There is an ongoing, unwritten contest that's been going for years;

Who had the nastiest load of the day?

Needles and 55 gallon drums just plain scare me.

    Diapers are usually the winner.

This year my vote is for Ryan (screen name?).
I don't know what the heck he picked up, but his poor truck stunk BADDDD all day long! You could smell it from 20 feet away! I heard it was a "frozen" turkey that hadn't been frozen for a very long time.

    Any other "horror stories"?

Also a special thanks to State Representative Geoff Hansen for yet another year of support!

If any of you wheelers live in Muskegon, Oceana, Newaygo, or Mason counties, Mr. Hansen is running for State Senate in 2010.

Besides being an all-around great guy, he's also been a huge supporter of the Clean Up and Motorized Recreation in general.

    I can't recommend him enough.

    Hansen for Senate!
