    Default Teach me how?

During my work for the Land Use Committee, I often work with Microsoft Word and Publisher. It would be useful if I knew how to upload these documents to the site to let folks know what I've been up to lately. Mixed text and photos don't load directly nor will they upload to Photobucket and, unfortunately, that's the extent of my knowledge.

Anyone willing to teach me the steps necessary to accomplish my objective?

PDF files should work, but you would need a program like Adobe to convert your mixed content into a single, web-site friendly document.

Also, did you try embedding your pictures and other mixed-sources into your Word doc?

Sorry, that just exausted everything I know about Word vs the Internet

And you just went WAY over my head!

No, I didn't take them to bed with me.
Mixed sources? That doesn't even sound appropriate for this site!

I copy and paste stuff and shove it around 'til it fits where I need it.
Sometimes I spend days trying to figure out why it puts an extra blank page in the middle of a document and won't let me delete it.

Microsoft Word has the ability to save in PDF Format.

Try clicking on Save As in Word, then thumb through the available formats. If your Version of Word does not have the PDF Format, goto Microsoft.com and look for the free download.

Don't have that option and didn't find anything useful at microsoft.

    Easy easy.

    Go here.

    http://www.dopdf.com/download.php

Download Do-PDF. It installs and shows up as a printer so from ANY program you are working in all you have to do is pick print, then change the printer to Do-PDF and away you go. It pops up and asks you where you want to save the PDF to. I have used it for years.

    And it's free.

Pat, PDF is a way better way to go. If you attach a file like a publisher file, then in order for people to view the file, they need to have publisher installed, which many people do not.

    Thanks for the link Tim!

Ok, I have a saved PDF!

BUT, I've "uploaded" it to the site 3 times and can't get it to show up in a post. It's only 2.12 Mb, so it's not a size issue.

NOW what am I doing wrong?
