Default 97-05 Dana 30 axle shafts

Blew up the pass axle shaft on my 97 XJ today. I guess the combination of a stock 4.0 and 235/75/r15 tires is just too much for a dana 30. I took out both the inner and outer shaft. I need the entire assembly, and might be interested in both sides if someone has them.

Shafts MUST be from a 97-01 XJ or a 97-05 TJ and MUST be of the 297 U-joint style, not the CV joint ones.

For the right price I'll take an entire front axle if you have one.

Best to call me, but you can also PM me.

That's clearly too much tire and hp for that axle....?? LOL

Did the u-joint just let go?

I've got TJ L&R inners and a single outer, free to a good home. The catch is they have rusty crusty u-joints that I don't have the time to mess with any time soon. I'm just south of I69, couple miles east of FLint.

Nope, and I just replaced both front U-joints when I installed my lockright less than 4,000 miles ago. The u-joint literally turned to shrapnel, taking both shafts with it. I was in four wheel drive, in the snow in my backyard, pulling a non-running four wheeler out when it gave out. I wasn't even being that rough on it.

I am assuming that I got a bad u-joint from autozone with some sort of defect in it. They gave me a new joint, but they won't cover the shaft damage.

    Default Dana 30 Front axle

If you havn't found an axle yet I have a complete Dana 30, 4-10 ratio new gears, bearings and Rock-It skid plate from a 04 TJ. No outer steering knuckles. Trying to get $1000 or might trade for a TJ Dana 44 rear axle.
