Thread: What up from Rochester

    Default What up from Rochester

    Hello everyone.

Picked up a 2008 FJ last year and threw on a 3" lift and a moto metal\dynapro wheel and tire setup.

Other than dealing with the unplowed Oakland county dirt roads this last winter I have not had a chance to get the rig out anywhere.

Hoping after I get a small rubbing issue fixed I will be able to take it out.

Any recommendations on where to start?

    Welcome Aboard J.P.

In that you apparently are from Oakland County, The Mounds is your closest resource http://www.geneseecountyparks.org/mounds.htm

    Thanks for the reply!

Well I was thinking of somewhere other than the mounds

Not exactly sure how much my truck would take, maybe that they rate as a 2 on here?

Day trips, above midland would be nice if someone knows of another good place(s) to start.

We will be taking the quads up to the old state house trail this weekend...

    Helo & welcome

The St. Helen area would probably be the closest area of reasonable size that would give you an afternoon or better worth of playing.

what kinda quad you taking to the old state house trail? its real flat and not even remotely challenging. if you got a 2wd sport/go fast quad then your gonna love it. on a 4wd utility quad it will be very scenic is all. good hunting around alot of it. saw 2 monster bucks about 2 weeks ago, just off the main bissonette rd entrance. some of it is part of the marked snowmobile trail in the winter. the groomer will run a drag down it b4 winter to take out all the berms and bumps.
    have a nice trip!

Thanks for the help! Is this a trail you would hit without a winch or it is common place to always have one? (i do not have one yet).

Wolv 450's, Sport\ute quads. I have rode a bit and the other guy with me is real new to riding so the guys over at ATV Offroad said that or Huron may be a good place as I was looking in that area.

They also dropped me the link to this place!!!
