A hacksaw (better known as the tool for fixing Luca's navigating)

Cigars (keeps the bugs away better than Deet)

    Extra Butt-wipe

Military MREs can be kept in toolboxes for years

I'm also thinking about carrying a flare gun. Could be handy in case of emergency, extreme lost, or as personal protection, or to hunt/cook food.

Yeah, we are now packing TP and zip locks...nothing like hearing your 9 year old daughter from behind a tree totally icked out at the thought of a) digging a hole and b) using leaves.

Toolbox with assorted wrenches and sockets
    tie downs for cooler/toolboxes etc
Waterproof blanket to wrap a cold kid if necessary (Nylon one side, fleece the other)
    Axe
    Foldable shovel
    Compressor
Geo caching bag cuz you just never know!
    GPS
    Maps
Extra garbage bags for trash along the way
    Gloves
    CB
    Cell with charger
    Flashlight
    Hi-Lift
Dif Fluid and now I'm going to throw an extra Oil filter in as well
    Zip ties and bungie cords
Food and water. I freeze water bottles instead of loose ice for the cooler. Granola bars, string cheese and sandwiches because no matter when you last ate, there's a kid in the backseat wanting more.
    Handi wipes

One more to add to the list of things you didn't think to keep an eye on until it happenes. Somehow I lost my pin in my fire extinguisher and didn't realize it until it came loose yesterday and hit the tub of the Jeep....with thankfully only a little poof. That could have been ugly (funny later though) and now I know to keep an eye on the pin.

I wouldn't need the hacksaw if I had more spare batteries for the GPS....
Maria: Can we ride in your Jeep again? Please!?
Lily: My tooth feels loose, can you use your tools to pull it out again?
Juliet: Can you carry me upside down to bed?!
    Violet: Cookie?
