The list is nice, but I just call people by name on the radio. No need to call them via call sign. Its their responsibility to announce their call sign once they transmit.

I agree, Oz but the list is nice because it matches call sign with forum user id. The first name is just a bonus... at least that was my original intent.

Point was ive heard some, not necessarily from our group, that get a bit too hung up on call signs and q codes as though they are transmitting sensitive data in secret code. It always amuses me.

Exactly! Actually, since 9-11, the push has been to go to "plain talk" and use codes as little as possible to keep things simple in an event different departments have to communicate. Other than that, badge numbers or car numbers are usually used as identifiers instead of names.
