Come to the January quarterly and we can talk about it. If you'll come or "someone" who knows about it I'll be happy to put it on the agenda. We're always looking for ways to raise funds for Great Lakes!

OK, not to be a Kiljoy here, but if GL sponsors the pig roast would that mean the same as sanctioning. And would that make it a GL event. Will that mean that all 160 people who showed this year would have to pay for GL membership, or will the Event membership be used. Not sure how this would work, or how it would go over. Sanctioning would also mean insurance. I am not convinced we would have as big of a turn out if we are now going to have to charge membership, insurance etc.

Just a few things that popped into my head when I read this post.

Of course, I would love to see more GL members at this pig roast since it is a good time. I think they should come regardless. LIke many of us do already.

good question pete i think should let all peeps in an event, and promote gl to them we did get a few to sign up from last year.beleive me we can make a bunch of bucks from the raffle.we made 1300 for mj.and if we get started early enough we can have a great turn out .we will bring this up at jan quarterly and work out something i hope ,other wise ill do it my self again

OK, the other question that i have. Will this replace the MJ pig roast? Or will this be in addition to the MJ pig roast? The way I see it, we can not raise funds for both at the same event.

i would make the switch to gl to help the cause .mj has there new gold membership upand going now so mj will be ok.i hope we can have all the mj peeps come just like before .raffle is a raffle peeps will buy tickets to win things for any cause.if we set it up right we can recrute alot of mj faces that weekend all so isnt that what its all about .maybe even put on some 4 wheeling seminars for newbee .winch handling and such make it a hands on weekend.with gl members taking charge and showing who we really are .just some thought if you have anything to add feel free this is open for discussion
