Drove out to New York City to pick up this thing, where it was sitting in a pretty bad neighborhood in Queens. It's a 1989 C-350 made by Centurion Conversions. It has a 460 EFI big block, A4OD transmission, 208 transfer case, High Pinion Kingpin Dana 60 Front, and a Sterling full floater rear. I've wanted one of these since high school, when they were still making them, but I couldn't afford the $47,000 sticker price, so I had to wait till I found this one on the net for 400 bucks.
Truck was used as an ambulance for the New Jersey Forestry Department for many years, so the interior is trashed. My plans with it is to get the rust in the rear floors fixed, repaint it, and put in a simple interior, Cloth seats and vinol floors. Depending on how I set up the interior, it can seat 8-12 people. Eventually I'd like some mud terrain (in the 37 inch range) tires to find their way under it as well as some selectable lockers. Plan is to keep it as a family vehicle, and use it on two tracks and mild trips. It'll kinda be my world exploration vehicle. It has only 205,000 miles on it, and runs great. Just needs some body work and a new interior. Someday when the motor goes, I'll probably swap a 12 valve cummins into it.
