So.....DeathDealer and I are 45 seconds off of the entrance ramp on I-75, after the Quarterly Meeting. When his left, rear driver's side tire shot out from under the TJ, rolled across both lanes, up the hill on the median. It then rolled back down across both lanes of traffic and came to rest after travelling a total distance of roughly 1/4 mile. A quick phone call and the "Soldiers" arrived en masse. Tow Truck arrives and takes it to Grandman's Shop.

DD then hops in my CJ7 to go to Exit 202, and then back to 212 for a trip to AutoZone. At roughly 1mile from 202, my engine has a very nasty sound. I pull over and kill the engine and it won't restart. I see Jim Mazzola's rig pass, stop a ways up and I crack a smile (Jim, you truly are a gentleman and I thank you for offering to help out). He conversed with Evil E via CB and headed home as there wasn't much to do with my CJ. Within a minute, Skip stops and offers any assistance but again, I'm dead in the water.

This started around 2pm. We were at the Shop until 8:30. Blt4Mud, Kixx, MTU, DD, Munchkin, and Ryan's GF made the most of this situation at the shop with a ton of laughs. I've been home 20 minutes and I miss the piss out of my "currently POS" Rig that didn't get stuck yesterday but was "owned" on pavement. I'm stoked that other's were willing to lend a hand if need be. I'm glad to still be the "New Recording Secretary" for GLFWDA. I've now had one hell of an entrance into the position. I still miss that noisy, pinging CJ7. I told Sam the Tow driver I'd be up within a week to retrieve said Jeep.

Two things though, I'm glad NOONE was injured. But most of all, I'm glad I'm a :SoFo2:

I saw some of you guys getting off the NB freeway as I was heading out of town - silly me thought you had hung around for more wheeling or some cleanup of some kind. Glad no one got hurt.

    Thanks Rhino!

Well, it seems like it could either be a thrown Rod, Crankcase Bearing, or a Piston with a hole in the top of it. I just need to track down a trailer, and pick it up.

I still miss that CJ :P

Yea, I saw you guys had some trouble but you were already being loaded up and hauled away by the time I went by. Not, the way we hope to see the weekend end.

Haven't been on the web in quite awhile. Way behind the curve, just read about your and DD's. 'adventures' in Jeeping after SnoBlind. I'm glad no one got hurt. Makes my toasted wiring for my winch (or is it wench, I know, just kidding) issue small. Working on tracking it down and figuring out why.

Maybe there will be more than 1/2" of SNOW in the woods.
