To all the GG participants; we're going to try something new this year.
Kayak/Canoe/Rafting down the Goulias River on Sunday.
Many folks need to leave Sunday so our plan is to make this a Gilligan's 3 Hour Tour Run (more like 5 though)
Rough plans now are to run the Goulias from Searchmont down to the back of the campground. Stated travel times by a local Outfitter say it can be done is less than 4 hours. Local outfitter is running the river on Monday so the probability of reasonable water depth throughout is probably pretty good.

We have two potential options to offer up.
Contract with the local Outfitter guide to drop us off at the drop in point.
OR
Make our own transportation arrangements.

I have not contacted the Outfitter yet as I do not know how many might join us so I'm not sure the cost for transportation.

If you might be interested in this please speak up so we can get a head count and I can see what the Outfitter are willing to offer and what the rental rates for Canoes and Kayaks would be.

Update for all that are going or are interested:
Still working the logistics of transportation.
A local expedition guide can transport us but we may be limited in the number they can provide transportation for.
I'm also working with the campground hosts to see what they can assist with and have been told they will help us in any way. (This may be our best option but will play it by ear when we know how many are really going)

Anyone predicting weather yet? Cold or warm? Trying to decide if I go buy a tent (3 broken ones at home) or reserve a room.... I think my daughter will want to tent it, but if it snows again!
