Anyone have one?

I'm in the middle of install a remote start/alarm. I want to try to tie the factory keypad on the door intothe alarm so it will disarm when the code is punched in on the door.

I think that module is called the GEM module? Not sure on that one. So besides that, I just have to tie into the door locks/contacts and dome light supervision circuit.

Anyone have access to that kind of info? I haven't been too successful searching the web.

    Hi Rob,
Try this sight and let me know if you can get on it. If not I can get the prints you need and e-mail them to you. Just let me know what ones you need.

Thanks Ganz....It appears to be another one of the 'best kept secrets'. Is this a wide open website or is it subscription only? I ask this because I get a General Motors ID over at the top right hand side with the menu stating 'logout', which must me I'm logged in! No one here at work has ever heard of this site even the group that get's our competetive engines for review.

It's called the VSM (Vehicle Security Module).

I can fax them to you. I can save them as a PRN file but I cannot upload them as attachments - "The requested file upload failed because suitable permissions have not been enabled on the 'uploads' directory. Please contact the board administrator and inform them of this error."

I see the same “logout” and “General Motors” items. Whether I am actually logged in or no, I don’t know; I selected year, model etc. etc. and I got right in.

    I get this:

ERROR: You do not have access to this URL. Please contact ALLDATA Customer Service at 1-800-859-3282 for assistance.

I thought ALLDATA was what the GM Tech line used? I know it's also available as a subscription service to shops.

Ganz works at Milford Proving Grounds. The poor guy has to go to Paragon and other such places for work...at least he claims it's for work.
