IRONWOOD—As part of its continued efforts to provide for a high-quality, sustainable OHV trail system, the Ottawa National Forest is proposing to designate additional OHV access to provide connections to the state of Michigan Multi-Use trails (e.g. Bergland to Sidnaw, Marenisco to Iron River and Bill Nicholls Trail) on the eastern side of the Forest.

Trail connections will be accomplished largely via the use of current Forest System roads on National Forest System (NFS) lands.
Additional information on the proposed connections is available on-line at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/projects/otta...ement/projects.
To ensure that comments on the Environmental Assessment are received before a final decision is made, please respond by Oct. 5.

Any comments received on this proposal are part of the public record and available for public review upon request.
Comments should be addressed to the Forest Supervisor, E6248 U.S. 2, Ironwood, MI 49938, or call the office at (906) 932-1330.
Additionally, comments can be emailed to comments-eastern-ottawa@fs.fed.us.
To receive a copy of the Environmental Assessment and other documents associated with this project, call your local Forest Service office.

The trails they "create" are a joke. Good for taking the Buick offroad but not much else.
