Fender Flares

As we have all seen my once black fender flares (FF) turn gray. I've tried the treatments that work, but they only last a few months. My question is, has anyone ever tried the new spray paints made to paint plastics on their FF. If so what was the results? Did it last any longer, does it still fade, etc.

i know several people that has had the same problem they just removed the flares and sprayed they with plastic adhesion promoter then used regular automotive paint on them then clear coated them and good by faded flare
