Thread: Hello from AA

    Default Hello from AA

    Hi!

I was sent this way from Michigan Wheelers when asking about off-roading in michigan. I'm a somewhat sheltered '06 OB driver (all stock for now), and I'm looking for some places where I can have fun with this car. Bonus points if I can do it in the winter too, though I figure fire trails are mostly seasonal... (?)

Little about me, since this is an intro thread after all:
    - UM grad, now working there.
    - in to mountain biking (Ann Arbor is amazing for that, lots of trails nearby)
    - married, so I can't go around dumping wads of cash in to car addons just yet.
    - I enjoy most outdoor activities (hiking / biking / camping / swimming).

Edit: for those of you that saw my post on Mich. Wheelers, I did copy/paste out of laziness.

    Hello again!

I am even lazier than you, I did not even copy/paste my MW response. But welcome to GLFWDA!

    I'm confused.

You're saying hello from Alcoholics Anonymous and drive a 2006 Out Board?
Are you saying you drive a boat?

    Sorry, had to.

    Here's a link to what's legal:

And here's where to drive (We're only allowed on the ORV Routes, not trails. Those are for less than 50" vehicles):

And here's the DNR's page for ORV information:

Thanks! Now, keep in mind that it's an '06 Outback that's stock, so I can't really do much in the way of mudding, and I'd definitely have trouble doing that DOA 2011 ride I'll take a look at the maps though.

Haha. No, no little ones for a while. No disposable cash stockpile either, I'm waiting on the lottery for that one.
