Default Chili at the Mounds, Feb 26th, 2011

For the 10th year I will be making a big pot of Chili and serving it up to whoever shows up at the Mounds ORV park in Mt. Morris. The eating usually starts around Noon. All normal park rules apply. The Chili is offered free of charge. Bring something to share if you want, but do not feel as though you have to.

Just don't call it an "event". Events require permits and insurance and permission. This is just an occurrence that has been happening for the past 10 years.

Just an FYI, I was at the Mounds last weekend and the snow was plowed up against the pavilion so high we couldn't use it. Maybe with the warm weather coming the piles might be melted by the 26th. Myself and a few others emailed our dissatisfaction to the parks director.

Thanks for the head up. It was like that last year also. I'll bring a shovel.

I'm stuck barn sitting for work. Otherwise I'd load up the family in the Ranger and head up to see everyone.

    Long time no see Bruce!

Ground was WET, park was MUDDY, roads were FLOODED, but we still had FUN wheelin' with the IFWDA folks in southern Indiana. But we were able to spend a long weekend with our youngest son & wife, who live in the Dayton area, they joined us with their LJ. Sorry we missed the chili Bruce, another time.
