I had a signature line, and now I don't!!

What happened to it??

And why don't I seem to have the option to have one anymore???

Bear with my website ignorance....but your "official GLFWDA Member" logo is missing from your name (not sure what that tag is called). Did we kick you out? Not sure if they are connected, I leave that stuff to Kevin, Bob and others.

The logo's gone because, regrettably, I've let my membership lapse! (I do plan on renewing soon!)

Just wondered if that somehow had something to do with my signature and ability to have one disappearing?? My membership expired a couple of months ago (yikes!), but this hasn't been an issue until just now!

I noticed that a few of our newer forum members are using the signature line to advertise websites. They haven't been blatantly advertising, just subtly doing it in the signature line. Normally, these new members are so obvious that I ban them as spammers, but a few are being pretty sly about it and they really haven't given me any reason to ban them. I made a choice, in the best interests of the forum, to remove signatures for non GLFWDA members.

Well....that makes sense to keep the spammers out. But it sure sucks for those of us who have been around for a long time!!!

I may have let my membership lapse, but I've been a paid member of GLFWDA continuously (until a couple of months ago) for about 13 or 15 years. I still support all that they do, even if I haven't renewed yet. Seems that there could be a better way of keeping the spammers out than to punish long-time supporters like me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.....I know. "Send your check in and quit complaining!" Well...sometimes life gets in the way,and even though it's "only $40", sometimes it's hard to find that money and justify spending it on something that isn't absolutely necessary!
