Hi All - new forum member here.

I'd suggest imposing a maximum pixel size on the avatars in the neighborhood of say, no bigger than 200x200. Some people have these monster 2288x1712 images that have just been resized to smaller dimensions that really slow down page loading (not naming names, though.

    Cheers,
    Jerry

Naw, you wouldn't get kicked off for posting a common sense thing.

It just gives us another reason to pick on Ironman! :bigemo_harabe_net-64:

I believe it was also mentioned at the Quarterly and I know it been mentioned in previous posts.

How about postage stamp size or the size of this>. (that's a small dot)

But then again I would settle for the stamp size because one of these days I will get around to putting up one also!

I took the hint and did a little downsizing.

MuddyPaws nailed it when he "fixed" it... it wasn't just a resize of the dimensions but also of the resolution which affected filesize. It's really no biggie to me. I have turned off avatars for a while, though!

    Cheers all,
    Jerry
