I agree about simplicity. That's why I used a simple and inexpensive marine switch. Companies like Painless make a kit that costs hundreds and includes solenoids, switches, fuses, etc. - NO THANKS!

100% true about the batteries being the same. I bought two identical ones as new, made sure they were made on the same date.
Yours are in parallel. Series would be 24 volts!
Corrosion is definitely a valid concern. The switch I used had bare brass terminals. I don't drive my truck on the road and definitely not in the salt, so its not a concern for me. If you used...
I made my own dual battery setup using a marine switch that includes off, B1, B2, and both settings. Cheap and simple with no solenoids or switches to fail. I didn't have the cash for AGM...
Still looking? I have a few pretty good ones from this year's adventures.
This is a 3 piece set that I will not separate. Overall measurement are 64" tall, 26" wide, 18" deep (bottom chest) / 16" deep (upper and middle chest). All 3 chests lock and I do have the keys. ...
I hope nobody would own one of these when the Warn ones are so nice for a few $$ more. But in case somebody does, take a good look at it. I noticed this one in the store today and it has nearly...

Nobody enjoys listening to me babble, but I do anyway. :blahblah:
I was really surprised when my wife stood up. She really did have a great point about the noise that nobody else really hit...
Just got back, so here’ s my quick report.
Thank you very much to everybody who attended, and especially those who spoke up with their comments. The comments lasted an entire hour straight. Had...
I don't think you can beat the XCR8 for under $300 shipped. If you go to a 4 wheel parts sale, you can carry one out for under $250. They are of significantly better quality than the Harbor Freight...
I understood that part.
So how did it turn out?
Can you give me the cliff notes version of what that means?
I was in the UP all last week and tons of trees are changing.
Nah, the Z71 tow rig stays on the street. By then I'll be driving a Sierra Denali anyway, and that REALLY won't be leaving the street.
Nope, I was on my YFZ.
Is this on road or off road? My truck isn't licensed for street use...........
Where was this? I was in Cheboygan all weekend, but came home today.
Yup.
Its nothing special, but its a good place for a shake-down run before you head out for real wheeling.
Cool pics. Where was this?
Looks great. What lift did you go with?
I watched those too. Looks like a damn fun event.
Thank you. :) Yup, all plasma cut by hand in my garage. Not the most efficient way to do it, but it got the job done eventually. All outside corner joint ground to a sharp edge. Looks cool, but...
