I decided to rejoin since I'm getting back into the wheeling after not getting out for about 2 years.
My new call is AC8KD
I'm thinking of crawling out from under the I've been hiding under and rejoining and attanding this meeting.
Thanks for the head up. It was like that last year also. I'll bring a shovel.
For the 10th year I will be making a big pot of Chili and serving it up to whoever shows up at the Mounds ORV park in Mt. Morris. The eating usually starts around Noon. All normal park rules apply....
I prefer installed.
More power.
Better antenna.
Better speaker.
Doesn't bounce around and end up under the seats.

Welcome.
I work in Fort Wayne at Navistar (International). I rent a room while here and go home most weekends.
Unforunatly for you pretty much all the trails in Michigan are in the northern...
Sorry, too many other things I have to do this weekend. Can't make it.
But if you find any trash piles in the woods mark them on a map and I'll try to get them next time I do a clean up up there.
I may need some short (1 foot) pieces of aluminum bar stock for a project. I'll have to try to stop by some Friday.
I could not see the pictures from work but I can from home.
I could try to write something up. When are the deadlines for the next issues?
No, we never even went into the scamble area this year. This was in the surrounding state forest land.
But last years 30 yards were mostly from the scamble area, and I know of a couple of more...
The good news is that I don't think we will ever have to have as big of an operation nor go as long as the Two trackers cleanup. We made some major progress this year. Another 3-4 year like this year...
As Jarhead pointed out to me I may have made some incorrect assumptions regarding the scheduling of event for next year. April 30th might be a good date for next year.
If the Swampstompers...
A small but very hard working crew of 14 (13 Swampstompers and Jarhead from GLFWDA) plus a bunch of young kids spent today cleaning the forests near St. Helen of 30 yards of trash and about 84 tires....
That is the most frustrating part. No one seems to even care enough to click on the thread and make an excuse for why they won't be there.
I will try to get up there, at least for the day Saturday.
If by some miracle I get my Jeep running I'll bring it, I love making new trails.
Otherwise I'll be looking for an open seat.
Yes, I hate say it but this cleanup seems to have somewhat become a victim of the 2 trackers cleanup’s success. I had feared that this would happen before I started this, but after talking with Pat...
I wished I had gone on the wheeling events I could have gone on the past 2 weekends and not have bothered to try to put this cleanup together.
This will most likely to the last year for this.
...
Anyone else? So far I am very disapointed with the responce.
Don't worry, there will be plenty of trash for everyone that comes to be able to pick up.
Everything is arranged, except for people to come help.
There will be an "Adopt a Forest" clean up at the St Helen Motorsports area and the surrounding area (Richfield township)
Date: Saturday, April 24th.
Time: registration from 8am-9am, We'll work...

Yes, being prepared in important. When I've run trails like these alone I've packed enough food and water to survive a few days, and brought clothes and whatever else we would have needed to spend...
