Thanks for building a sweet trail rig !!! My two sons (4 and 7) were viewing the pic's. from the westbranch run and got excited when they saw your rig . Now my cheap old jeep does not cut it any longer and they insist I do more work to it and make it "cooler". They did say they want you to post more action shots ...maybe a video :)

I used to own a 02 4 door v 6 ZR2 model which was fairly quick for a tracker but I just could not take opening the hood and seeing Suzuki on the motor (actually the lease was up) . nice little cruiser

If you dont mind sending the video, my boys watch these over and over . please send to duffus1@sbcglobal.net
( the duffus is not me , it's a tribute to my late yellow lab, god rest his sole)

Ken, Bryce's Geo is awesome.......pics and video do that little thing no justice. You gotta check it out in person. I was drooling over it, crawling under it at the Mounds. I like it, the craftmanship Bryce and Jim put into this thing is top notch.

Bryce I will be looking forward to my new issue of Crawl whenever it comes out.

Im also looking forward to seeing the 4dr when it's done....I'm just curious if Jim is going to try and out do Bryce :P

From an overall capability standpoint...that would be tough. He'll probably have almost 1000 lbs on me and the actual body is 4" wider. Having leather seats, A/C has to level the playing field a bit though..... W.B. will be about 107" which is certainly on the long side, sometimes it helps, sometime it don't.
Power will be up, which is good, T.C will be only 2 speed (4.24:1) where his is 3. Hopefully the power difference will make up for it. The underneath architecture will have some improvements over his. I'll have 12" stroke 2.5" Fox shocks where his are 14" and 12" 2". We're going to try to do the same fender bars but having the back door to miss with the bar is tough.
I've got the suspension layed out in CAD and am pretty happy with the geometry improvements we made over his. His anti-squat is a bit high (117 -vs- 108) and the rear shocks are not at the most optimum angle just trying to keep from 'tubbing' the rear inner wheel wells.
Got the plasma cutter out preparing to gut the entire suspension and cross members. HAd to finish up some ceramic counter tops and island in the kitchen so I keep pease with Kim :<))

Jim, speaking of keeping on Kims good side, do you find her a stock Tracker for a DD? I know you mentioned having a hard time finding one.

Yep, Found her a white '02 2dr auto ZR2 with less miles on it that the 4dr had!!! 23,000 and I didn't even have to leave the state!!
And yes, Crawl is a BI-Monthly publication.
