He said "old member"....so I figured that Jim qualified!!!

Yup found you in the album and noted your appointment to united 4x4 and though it would be fun to see who's left from the old days. We have done things and been places most will never get to explore ,to bad, where's the damage???? years of off roading in areas and there still unchanged. Some roads are impassable now to get into fight fires. We would open roads for the DNR as a trail ride and now there closed, go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. A few of us still talk about how it was. I still hear from a few 'old folks from time to time. Ran into Steve Hanna a few years back up on a winter run.

I'm still here.:flipoff:
I didn't know you guys back then. When doing GLFWDA stuff I mostly ran with the Wildwood club out of TC. (Steve Hanna, Steve Nance, etc) I always did Onion Run and Teq and spectated at SOR & other races.
Didn't the Flintstones also sponsor a winter drag race back then?

Those are all names I remember. I started going up there in 76 when I happend to run into Julie Nance at a McDonalds. That's when Steve still had the gas station & the green weenie was orange on terra tires. At that time I had a blue 76 long bed Chevy on 35" gumbo's. Then I went to a 77 white Chevy shortbox stepside that said "white lightning" on the front. Also on 35's. About the time that the weenie went green with a SOA, I did the same thing to a 55 Willies CJ5. It ended up yellow with orange striping. I had a variety of winches on the front and a pto underneath in the rear. (some day I'll get around to scanning some pics) I typically ran with Pete & the Steve's & ran Onion run every year up through 84.
You may remember Steve Nance driving my white truck up there over a complete winter. He sold it for me to some guy up there who then painted it all fancy blue as a show truck.
I don't remember your truck speficially. A couple other names were Jim & Joni Terras, Arnie & Critter. There was also a guy who owned a cement company with a nice green jeep too. Can't recall his name but I used his account at the auto parts store once. LOL
I came up pretty often with a group from down state. Most commonly with a long haired hippie named Jack Rexford with a short box Chevy that was pretty stout. (one of the only full size trucks to ever give Night Stalker hill a good go)
ahhh......... the good ol days.
