Hmmmm.....the Jeep's turning on the "Check Engine Light" every time I start it now. Seems to run fine and smooth though. I'll have to get that checked out early in the spring and see if I can make this run. Hope it's just something easy (and cheap!!).

If it's running ok then usually it's either an oxygen sensor code or you left the gas cap loose. Not always, but more often than not from my experience.

That's cuz the hummer-v's are too skeered to come play with us.

Those were my first thoughts also. BUT.....I haven't had the gas cap off for a while (and I checked it anyway). It could very well be one of the oxygen sensors, but if I remember correctly, the TJs have 3 of them (and they aren't cheap).

Stay tuned...............

But I think I might have been boobie trapped during the Drummond Signage even. There was a jeep near by... :muttley:

If I recall, some jeeps went out looking for you when you sent your brother walking. Don't worry though. You can always count on jeeps to come rescue Hummers.

hey T-way, I had the same problem on my 97tj....that year, as I'm sure you know, is a hybrid. Mine was the sensor, I got my husband one of those testers that can tell you the code, and I believe it will clear it as well.

You are welcome to borrow it.

Haven't been here in a while and to see this post is so weird..........Steve just had the same problem with the engine light coming on. It was an oxygen sensor. Anything about which one I have no idea but they said it was a $273 fix he got for $100 cuz covered under warranty......don't hear that much for an '03 Rubicon. Good luck and hope to see you soon on a run.

My Jeep is now 13 years old and has 63,000 miles on it......so I don't think it's still covered by warranty!!!!

I couldn't find information on t-way at www.snopes.com

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
T-way or a transitway is a bus rapid transit line in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia.

T-ways were conceived as an alternative to commuter railway services because of the lower cost and higher flexibility that they offer. T-ways can be constructed without the need for a dedicated corridor or tunnel. Buses can join and leave the T-way along the route, giving the T-way a wider feeder area than rail.

T-ways are bus-only roads where undeveloped railway and motorway corridors are available, and bus-only lanes on existing roads.

Your bone stock will do just fine on Drummond. Listening to your trail leader is the key to getting through any difficulty and overcome any obstacle in your path.

There is nothing better than man/woman, vehicle, the wilderness and mother nature.

Mr-S
April 3rd, 2010, 10:42 AM
I would suggest devising a way to disconnect your sway bars. You will see a vastly improved off road performance boost from it.

Get a valve core remover and a good digital tire gauge so you can quickly and accurately set your tire pressures.

You might find some people from the Detroit area headed up on MichiganWheelers.com

There are people coming from all over....even Canada. There is a convoy heading out from the detroit area but I don't know what plans they have as far as times go.

I sent you a PM with the meeting times and places.

Bigest thing is that we will be having breakfast at 8am on Friday at the bear track and then we will all meet and head out from the resort at 10am for the trails.

Same thing for Saturday but heading to the Park.
