What the heck is going on???

The last week or so, there has been hardly any activity on the forum!!!

Is everyone busy with Christmas stuff??? Snowed in????? Getting in shape to try out for the Lions (they definitely need some new players!)?????

Yup, I'd think the time of year would be part of it. Christmas & New Year are really busy with family / work events. I don't have any immediate family here any more, so I've actually been on line more the last couple weeks :-/

Work at my office has been very busy. Not much time to post anything interesting. I have also trying to get my jeep ready for sno-fari. I cant wait untill the second weekend of January so I can get a break for work and have a little fun.

Looking at your Jeep in your avatar......shouldn't you be spending LESS time online and MORE time in the garage?????

I was home all last week laid up in bed. There wasn't a huge amount of activity here and I didn't stumble on any legislative stuff to post. I get a lot of it through work. Now I am back at work catching up and thinking of all the stuff I need to get done before Snowfari, and how I am going to do it with my restrictions.

Hopefully, everyone is taking the time to contact their representatives.

There is only so much that the few of us can do in a day and the issues before us at present require numbers to generate the attention we need to Help Our Sport!

When I am sitting in a legislators office and they tell me they haven't heard from our (GLFWDA) Members I quickly state that I am their representative and will gladly speak for them (doesn't pull the same weight as the personal contact each one of our Members can make).

I know I wrote 10-12 letters last week while I was off... I even got a response from one representative telling me he wasn't mine and he would forward it to the correct one... funny thing was I write him not caring if he was mine or not, because I sent mine the letter too :ahhh::monkeydance:

I've been catching up on the honey-do list after a busy spring, summer, and fall. Somehow that list never gets finished.

They actually more attention then what they want to let on. Once they give you tangible recognition, they knowingly are committed to listen. They will do just about anything to dissuade or discourage your efforts.

The first time you meet them in public, shake their hand and introduce yourself (look into their eyes); the recognition is in their eyes.

I hang out at a number of the local political bars just to rub elbows and take notice.
