Do you have a map or listing of trails out your way? I've heard there are some nice trails in the Indian River area, and since I'm only as far away as Pellston, it would make a nice day trip or two.

I'm not looking for technical stuff. My daughter drives a stock 89 Bronco, so I'm just looking for some nice family time, with a couple of rigs, on new trails. I like to go out on the trails to relieve stress and that is close enough to be back in time for the night job.

The ORV route just south of Indian River is a nice, sandy 2-track that is easy and fun to drive. It wanders all over to the south and west, down toward Wolverine and over towards Petoskey. The trailhead is on Old 27 just south of Indian River, on the west side of the road.

Black Mountain may work too. Lots of two tracks and some hills.

Yes it is. There used to be more open (some good hill climbs) but they are now blocked.:wah:
