Question about posting events

I am helping with a fundraising BBQ for a local Marine that was injured by an IED... Is it okay to post information in the events area?

Supporting Our Troops is a very admirable thing and I feel would be appropriate even if it is abit different from our normal angle.

I'd love to see a lot of folks show up for it though. I lost a family friend's daughter to an IED, and had a cousin get pretty mangled by one as well (she's fine now, minus some hearing and vision loss on the right side).
