Im not much into mud bogging or rock climbing, Im more into trail riding and camping. Im looking for a nice area to trail ride that will allow us to camp off the trails according to state law. My husband and I have a recently purchased '05 Rubicon w/lift kit, tires, winch, etc... and are looking fwd to doing some 4-wheeling in Michigan! Missed the Jamboree in Drummond Isl. due to unexpected work commitments and are going to try to head there this weekend to test the trails. Looking for input on camping (have a 5th wheel) and the trails!

Welcome to GLFWDA.

Dunham lake near West Branch, and Backus lake near Prudenville are a couple real nice places to camp rustic style. Both are near lots of trails to explore.

Welcome.... I like the Cadillac Area for trail riding, and camping (rustic). We like to geocache and there are lots of opportunities. One thing our kids like to do is log our trips with the wildlife we see...
