SnoBlind is put on by the Mudchuggers. They are not affiliated with Great Lakes.

Go here for current info on
Sno*Blind http://www.mudchuggers.com/snoblindflyer2006.pdf

Mudchuggers is not currently affiliated with Great Lakes but they are a member of United so they are a part of our family of organized full sized four-wheelers.

With the new membership restructuring approved by United, the time may be right to approach Mudchuggers and other non Great Lakes clubs in our area (yes that can include Ohio too) and invite them to check us out and join with us to Unite together for our rights to share public land!

Who from GLFWDA, knows someone within the Mudchuggers leadership that would be willing to offer a friendly invite to at least explore new possibilities?? It's another item to discuss at the upcoming GLFWDA Quarterly. The time is right to grow our organization and bring on more dedicated volunteers!

Sorry to ramble on your post, but the subject and the timing is right. United dues change as of January 1, 2006, I believe, and that is before Sno*Blind.

See ya October 9, let's talk about it. What do you say, Pat - Ironman ?

I heard there was a falling out between the chuggers and GL....dunno what it was about, it was before me. Don't really care, I still think we can work out any differences.

I know there is still room in snowblind because you can't reg till november I think. I still got my hotel room already though.

Well, it appears somebody may know more about the past. But it is old grudges from the past that are keeping us, and others apart, and letting the greenies win! We need to have broad shoulders and stand up, extend our hand of friendship and say let the past be the past. As a famous national hero said recently ...

LET'S ROLL!!

Because if we set back in our comfort zone of the past ... we're going down in flames ... and the Greenies are winning the battle.

But if they don't want to join us, maybe Rustbelt or another full size organization. The $$$ may influence their decision if they are committed to remainig a part of the United family. Let's hope they do.

Yup, I agree. It's comments like that that shouldn't be in our organization. It's the past, lets move on.

You gotta know the total history to pass judgements on some of the comments.
Be careful of what you don't know before you accuse!

I know most of the history about what happened and would like to put all of this behind us and have Mudchuggers part of Great Lakes again!
Isn't time supposed to heal?

Brian,
I agree.

Just keep in mind that there have been several of "US" who have tried to mend the past and received a very cold shoulder. In fact, on a personal level, a couple years ago I was trying to get involved with Mudchuggers and when I said that I would not quit GL, I was absolutely snubbed by the movers and shakers within their organization. (or they just flat out didn't like me) Either way, they would not respond to my emails and when I was told I would get on their mailing list (twice), it never happened.

So, when the answers above were a little blunt, it is because the attempt has been made by mutliple people multiple times. I will admit that I could have been a little more politically correct but that effort with no response sometimes gets old. Maybe I should have just kept my keyboard shut.....

I havent been to a SnoBlind since 2000 or 2001. I actually joined GL through SnoBlind '97. I downloaded the application and considered going this winter as I've always had a blast there with the 'Chuggers, but I can't justify $58 a person plus motel, etc.

I remember going for $60 a couple......I realize they hafta pay for insurance now, but that price is steep for a Michigan trailride and a Sat dinner. Oh well, hopefully someone puts together a winter trailride.....and not a day trip.

I will organize one if I don't hear about a good weekend trip by Thanksgiving.

ya Mike, You might as well do something while your doing nothing [end uncle Rico voice] Are you going to be off this winter? I would be in for sure. Probably not if its in Canada though, I'm trying to save money, plus I needed to take care of all my warrents before going bask there. :D

I'll be off this winter as usual...probably around Christmas time, then go back to work mid to late March.
