I just dumped $140 on fuel for Gitchee Gumee :<img src=:" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

But I did save $4.50 by filling 2, 5 gallon cans with offroad Diesel

But I will be in Canada for 9 days: PRICELESS :D

I estimate I'll spend roughly 200 dollars on just gas, if I drive my Jeep up. If I tow, probably 250-300.

Question is, what does gas cost in Canada?? Keith was thinking about filling up his 50 gal tank in the US and strapping it to the trailer!!

I like diesels, I just think they need to make them a tad lighter!! Maybe some composite plastic with steel sleeved cylinder walls or something really space age!

It's about 5 bucks a gallon but I don't think you'll make it over the bridge with 55 gallons of gas.

I burn about 120 gallons round trip just getting there and back. Figure an average of $2.85 = $342 just in the motor home.

Then another 12 - 15 gallons per day of premium @ say $4.50 = $54 for each fillup. Since I am there for a week, figure at least 6 fillups = another $324.

So...... $342 + $324 = $666 in gas alone.

I did pick up 3 bottles of octane booster so I can buy regular. Comes out to $o.15 per gallon just for the octane booster. Not sure what the savings between regular versus premium is in Canada. Here it's about the same.

This sport ain't cheap is it?
