The show "Trucks" just did a segment last weekend about "make your own biodiesel". There is a company (I wish I could remember the name of it) that sells a kit to make your own. They said they could make it for $.70 a gallon. That was based on getting about 50 gallons free from a restaurant. Funny thing is, they never mentioned how much this kit cost!! The show claimed they got the same performance out of their Ram... even though the exhaust smelled like french fries!

The company is Freedom Fuel America, the equipment costs $3000.00 and I am on the hunt for some vegie oil and a 500 gallon tank for storage.

Next spring my Cummins will be running Bio!

Plus it smells like french fries as your truckin down the road :P

I am going to make everyone hungry and Mcdonalds business will double

The kit is a rip off. I've found sites that show you how to make a better kit for around $400. That includes a water rinse setup to wash out the rest of the impurities. I would be all over it but I worry about the availability of the used oil in the near future. Its free now but what about when the store owner finds out its in demand?
