Anyone going wheeling in the general area of Cadillac? The weekend of April 10, 11th?
Let me know. I hate wheeling alone.

More specifically in the general area of Cadillac?
Let me know. I hate wheeling alone with no winch.
I was dumb enough to do some wheeling alone last weekend. I am on 35s with a locked rear and winch and still got stuck alot so the winch was mandatory. Just something to think about before you go.

Yep, lifted 35's and locked front and rear.... but no winch.... and after our runs a few weeks back at Tin Cup I would say without another vehicle with a winch it would be a long day.

I covered about 12 miles in about 3 hours. The first 6 miles were covered in a half hour though so yeah it was slow going.

We did about 4 miles (and stopped for lunch) in about 5-6 hours.... Still a lot of fun. We used a buddies winch for the first through tenth times :). I had saved eight waypoints of the entire route and we saw about 3, 4 if you counted the one i set for the parking lot....LOL.

Put me down for a "pretty sure". Maybe we could find a cache or two along the way. My winch is still a virgin BTW. LOL

Cool, that would be great! We will have to fix the virgin winch thing.

What day do you plan to ride and how many so far are going. The 5th is on a thursday and cant come that day, but possibly Friday the 6th or Saturday the 7th I may be able to come up that way. I am not to familiar with the trails over that way, but always enjoy new trails to explore and do have a winch also.

Friday, Johnson Valley on two new trails. "Cakewalk" & "Bullfrog"; then Saturday I'll be volunteering to replant seedlings in the SBNF burn area. Looks like a full weekend.
Thanks for asking! :thumb:

I should be able to make it as long as the Jeep dealer here gets my parts in tommorrow. They were supposed to be here today, but they told me tommorrow morning. I will PM you and Mike later tonight to get the details.

Twenty to Thirty Inches of it on the Mountain (after planting trees)...Johnson Valley should be around 75 degrees, so no snow there. :flipoff:

We were around tin-cup area... You (Greenway)?
Weather was okay, some rain, and a bit warmer than normal... about 4 to 6" of snow and lots of water... Made the trails a bit challenging

Had a great time yesterday Tom. Finding a few geocaches was a nice bonus as well. It's nice to see your son having fun with you. I miss those days. My shoulder is a bit sore today. Man that ice was slippery. :o
Here's the listing for the new cache I placed called Tin Cup (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=6f9fb40d-11c1-43d7-ae91-bb2d7e7340a7).
Good looking rigs if I don't say so myself! LOL

Holy JK party!
Does the silver Rubi have a BB on it with stock tires? I'm thinking about putting one on mine to get a little more clearance under the belly of it, but will most likely run stock size tires everyday and don't want it too look goofy. The silver one looks nice.

My understanding and I will let GL08JK correct this if need be...
He is running a Teraflex 2.5" spring kit that resulted in almost 4" front lift and 3+" rear lift. And I even think he has an additional kit like this for sale?

I have silver JK and running the Teraflex 2.5" Coil lift with shocks (Teraflex's SKU: 1251000) and still running stock tires and rims till Procomp decides to ship my backordered wheels, then I will have my KM2 35's. I got almost 4" in the front and 3" in the back with this kit before I installed the bumper and winch. Even after the bumper and winch install I still have over 3+ inches in the front still.

That is true and I do have the same kit I have installed on mine that is brand new in the factory shipping boxs still that I would part with also. Had a great time getting out with everyone and doing some wheeling and learning about Geocaching.

090411 to be exact.
Our adopt-a-trail group went up Big Bear mountain to survey how our work on our adopted trail had survived the winter. Would have gone earlier, but the snow was over eight feet deep in some spots.

So this is me coming into the west entrance to the trail.
Our trail is named "Holcomb Creek" and designated 3n93
in case you try to google it.

This is the group on "poser rock", we stopped for lunch here.

Just chillin at poser rock, eatin some lunch.

Just so you know, we do actually do work on the trail.
This retaining wall was built by hauling about 80 trailers
of rock from other parts of the trail by hand. We were
SO happy to see it weathered the winter so well.

Coming into the middle rock garden.

Letting the front sag a little.

On our way back to turn in the safety gear at the Ranger Station,
we came across this XJ. Everyone made it out alright, no injuries.
Boyfriend driving girlfriends XJ lost it coming around a corner
and nailed a 4ft diameter Jeffery Pine. Bet he impressed her!
Going back up this weekend to remove some trees that have fallen onto the trail this winter. Maybe map out a new rock garden we're planning to build on the trail. I truly wish you had a working relationship with your Forest Service Rangers, like we do.
