Just wanted to pop a note to tell you guys that the Carol Summers Camp Grounds is a great place to camp if you are going to the Badlands. I know there is a camp ground at the entrance but it really is a poor camping place. Just a wide open flat field and the showers have special hours, and there are no hook ups.

Summers Camp Ground is a nice place to take the family too. It's just a few miles outside of Attica. Has good showers, a pool, a playground for the kids, a fishing pond and the owner just happens to have a full shop with welders and all kinds of jazz in there. Actually it's the owner's husband...but anyway, he's a great guy. He helped us fix a busted front drive shaft at 1 am! All the people there were great. Nice tenting area with some trees and they also have full hook up spots. Some of the tenting area has water and electric, that's what we had, and some of it has nothing. Rates were good too.

Give them a buzz...you'll love it.
