I keep hearing about these storms and all the rain  but there isn't anything happening here. I keep waiting and waiting....nothing angry

It's so dry, can't take a bunch of rigs out anywhere because no one except the lead rig would be able to see. Too dang dusty. Never seen it this bad up here.http://www.stuntlife.org/boards/images/smiles/blob8.gif

That's going to take a lot of the fun out of DOA...
Hmmm, probably have to incorporate more of Turtle Ridge.

Tell ya what...went to Turtle Ridge last Friday and it was a damn dry mess. I mean the wheelin was great, but the long mud trail was just about dust...just hard ground...and everything else was dusty as heck. I was so grubby when I got home, there was mud in the tub when I was showering off.

I talked to a guy that had just been out to the clay pits and he said there was very little mud...more like the sticky clumpy stuff. No standing water to speak of.

Things could change overnight but I don't see it happening anytime soon. No rain in the forcast. It's hot, the grass is dead, and i'm not watering it. Plus side is I don't have to mow it either. :D

Steve Walker did say he was working on a new stretch of trail that was very wet, very hard, and was gonna be something else. Said the trails we were on were groomed compaired to the new one. He also said there is no way you would do it alone, and it "will take all the gagets and gizmos you got to get through that trail and it'll take the better part of a day to do it."

Sounds like fun :P

Finally got a little rain up here. I don't think it was enough to fill the clay pits back up but it's a start. Was more like a slow soaking for a few hours.http://www.frostjedi.com/phpbb/images/smiles/dance.gif

It's so dry from the Sault all the way up to Wawa and around to Marathon that the MNR has banned ALL open fires. Stopped by Chippewa Falls on our way back from the Superior Circle tour and the Chippewa Falls were no more than 24" wide way off to the far side of the river. Never have I seen it that low in over 25 years up there. Gonna need rain soon or GG will be in a bit of hurt.
