Just curious to see how many hunters we have among us.

This is not a discussion on the morality of hunting it's just a poll...... (results are private)

There wasn't an option for "enjoys hunting but rarely brings something home"....

I hunt. Started in 1999 with my Father-In-Law. I grew up in a knife/gun free upbringing. I broke that mold open and wore a scarlet letter when I went hunting the 2nd year and brought home a 6 point.

I prefer Venison over store bought meat.

I go hunting up at my cabin in Brethren. This will be the first year my son is old to enough to go hunting with me. He goes to hunters safety in a couple weeks and he's really looking foward to it.

thats why its called hunting , not shopping!:poke:

my father was a gunsmith by trade. we had litereally hundreds of guns in our home as i grew up.
i have hunted since i was 12. i have missed a year here and there for whatever reason, but as a rule i hunt. i hunted the corn farms of the thumb last fall and it just wasnt the same. im used to hunting the western up. i could just sit in the woods all day. dont matter if i ever get a deer.
most guys hunt for horns. give me a doe that just lost its spots, mmmm veal!

I hunt regularly. Heck I killed a couple deer last week!

It was legal. We have crop damage permits.

I quit about 20 years ago when I went back to school. I really enjoyed it up to then. I just hated gutting and cleaning. I never did start up again. Still have my guns in case I ever decide to take it up again.

As if any of us like it! :lmao:
It's not the sight, sound or feel. It's the smell.

But it only takes a few minutes and you get all the enjoyment of the hunt and the venison through the year. It's like a year's worth of pleasure for the low cost of a few minutes of slight discomfort.

trucks are for girls!
