Again this year this was put on the same weekend to compete with the Woodward Dream Cruise. The Woodward Dream Cruise has gotten so large it is no fun to go IMO.

This cruise is also VERY large, but it is MUCH more personal as the cars are parked, the main part of the city basically shuts down for it (businesses are open, they close the streets). Basically it was 4 days of classic cars. Last year this cruise was rated in the top 10 by "My Classic Car" and it has only been an event for 4 years!

Sweet pictures. Looks like a good time.
I agree, Woodward is crazyness! I can't stand all the traffic it draws.

What the heck kind of engine is that?!

What does it look to clean to be Flint? :lmao:

There were an estimated 3000 cars and 125,000 people in Flint for this :thumb:

I missed a one in the people estimate... oops

Edit: Now they are saying 20,000 cars participated too

If you like that show, be sure to make the the Frankenmuth Auto Fest next month. It pretty much covers the entire town. Friday nights 'block party' is the best time to come out of the three days. We'll probably be up there with a few old Jeeps.

The block party has always free in past years and had all years of vehicles  The fields and park were the only pay spots.

Sold the 442 back in 03' and just go to look now. Had fun that year taking the WRX STi before people knew what they were. Humiliated many muscle car owners those nights :lmao:

Near the U of M campus? That part of town is usually fairly clean...

That's for the actual show that's held inside Heratige park and the adjoining fenced off fields. The block party downtown is at least still free to view by the public. Most people just cruise town and hang out in lots the whole week / weekend anyway.

Unlike the rest of the muth fests, The city doesn't put the show part of this on and therefore the website kinda sucks for info on the free/pay parts of this shindig.
At the bottom of this page when they talk about holding spots in the show area, they let on that the block party is actually something outside of the show. http://www.frankenmuthautofest.com/?page_id=2
