For the first time in my 7 years on the board we did not make quorum.
This means that we did not vote on by-law changes that were proposed almost a year ago.
I will be calling the clubs that did not send a representitive to see what there intentions are concerniong sending soemone to the october meeting.
I can really see a need for a change in how GL's votes at meetings, we need to go to a format in which everyone who cares enough to show up at a quarterly and is a member in good standing gets a vote. I belong to the ATV club of MI and this how we vote at those meetings and it works!
:D put on this face and come to the October meeting!

Sorry I missed the meeting. Under the current system I don't have a vote. But I still try to attend. I would have been there but my wifes health prevented my attendance. I agree with Pat on the all present members in good standing vote. If the clubs who send reps care about the issues on the agenda they will be there for the vote.
I'll do my best toput on a :D face and come to the October meeting!

We were one club director short for making quorum and a productive working meeting.
I hope you directors that were absent don't complain about what G.L. is not doing.

My opinion is this:
It is time to change the format that for each person there, they get a vote. Club directors can vote for the number of members they have.
If they don't like it: leave so the rest of the people can get their work done!
There are tons of indy members who are saying that if they had a true vote, they would participate.
A letter should be sent to each member that this is the new format.

I have been meaning to get to a meeting, but currently as an independent member I don't have a vote, why should I go? (and the main reason I didn?t get to this last one is that I have been working on my Wheeler all the time.) And even if I can vote, I don't know what is going to be voted on. I don't want to vote on something that I am uninformed about. If the new guy running the Boondocker could publish this information on what will be voted upon and get it out, or if our new friend Sean could get it on the web site, (Hint Hint  ), and I would have the right to vote, I would give 100% effort to be there. So if I could vote, and I knew what I was going to vote on, I would be there with my :D .
