Sweet! Rocks will be fun. I have some questions about the St Helens area, but I'll post them in a different section.

I thought that was funny and no one said anything.

If you would like to attend with us show up at the motorsport area at 10 am on July the 14. Or call me to car pool from Midland. 1-888-705-8683

We might just have some rocks on public land before long!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you been up there latey? I was up there on my quad a couple weeks ago and half of it is logged off now. I'm not sure when they did it but it looks like a war zone now.

I asked Pat about that this winter. Apparently, it is part of the land management master plan. Kinda sucks though.

So how did go Pat?

I will start out by thanking Dice and Sean for going with me!

1) The attornety general has stated that the rocks can be placed at the motorsport area.

2) The forester for that area said that he is more concerned with enviromental concerns from some one springing a leak while playing on the rocks, therefore he is requesting an engineering study from the state.

3) Paige Perry, our ORV tech in this region will put in for an ORV grant for the 2006 grant cycle to cover the cost of the engineering study.

4) We (GL) are charged with finding anything we can relating to the construction of such a rock course.

5) We (GL) also need to come up with verbage to post on location that would spell out the assumption of risk by using such a course.

6) After these disussions we found a suitable location for the course.

Then we ate lunch!

If anyone knows of any place we can go for info about rock course design and enviromental concerns of such a course, especially on public land please let us know. any help we provide will only help to expidite this process.

Pat, we might want to do a little research into Holister Hills and see what they for signage at there rock course and log trap areas. That is the only public land park that I can think of off hand that has rocks.

And to answer Brians question: the clear cut could be a good way for us to blaze some new trails up some of the elevation changes that were opened up.

It is legal to forge new trail inside the motorsport area. And we seen some good terrain to do it while we were there!

Lets pick a date to play there.

But not untill it cools off some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That same verbage could be used for dedicated trail loops for full size ORV's!!!
