Yup,
Was down at the Kentucky Outback park with MSG.
Almost got up over a sharp rock ledge & lost traction. When I slid back down, I landed hard right on the pinion yoke. Broke the pinion right out of the housing.
Found a new casting at a local salvage yard & got it back together after a late night. But, it wasn't right. Just good enough to run the next day without the ARB locker.
It's apart now & going to a spool. If all goes well, we'll make the adventurous trip to DQ.

I know the pain I will be running the k5 this weekend because last weekend I twisted the rear drive shaft out of the little black beast up in Marquette. to much power is costly B)

Just keep pouring money into it. Sooner or later you will find (most) the weak links.
I didn't take any pics of my carnage. I am sure other did & will post when I get one.

I got a 1 Ton rear drive shaft now as a posed to that 1/2 Ton chevy shaft that I snapped, I just need wrench time to shorten it and install.
unless I am riding shot-gun I never take a camera I have thousands of trail pix already. occasionally I will take a shot of some carnage sometimes when I get home.

I know you posted this last weekend, but I wasn't going wheeling then. I think I'll go out this weekend on the local trails near Elmira. There's been lots of rain so there's no dust and the puddles are good for a big splash.
If anyone is coming up to Gaylord/Petoskey/Boyne Country Area this weekend drop me an e-mail before Friday and I'll give you a little tour of the local trails. I think I'll go out Saturday around noon if I can get a sitter for the baby. It would be about a 4 or 5 hour ride, nothing difficult, just sandy hilly trails with lots of trees to look at. :)

Have fun on the Quads! I don't think I'll make it that far north on my little outing.
