:ninja:Well it has come to my attetion that I need new tires for my TJ
I do not have a tow rig yet so I drive it from HOme to trail.
Currently have the Trxus in 35x12.50 and have been happy thinking of something new. though Id like to stay in the swamper Family.
THe best price Tires i have found have been the 36X12.50 IROKS but Im concerned with the Durability on lots of street miles. Plus if they drone too bad my girl will stab me.
Also looked at the SSR's any opinions on any of these tires would be awsome.
PS Trying to save some $$ For a Trip to IronMans Garage so CHeep is good :SoFo:

We have a TT Club member who seems to be able to beat all prices on tires.
I'll give you his # and you can see if he can help.

Key word is used to. 3 years on TSL's. I wouldn't hesitate to run bias on the road again. Persinally I'm a TSL guy now. I'll groove mine up a bit and maybe move to a 38 if I keep the Jeep around. Walked up helicopter pad, and guardrail and a few others down in Tellico without a strap or line, I couldn't ask for anything more.

when i first had my jeep i burned through 2 sets of swamper tsl bias.
1 one set 12/33/15 one set 12/36/15. it was my daily driver.
i put about 35k mi on the set of 33's they were totally bald when i got done. plus you can get sideways in 4 gears in the rain with bias swapmers! my 12/35/15 goodyear mtrs have been pretty good on the street, and ok in rock or sand. but they are big slicks in the mud. they dont last any longer than my swapmers did. they cost more too. my next set is back to bias swampers.

Jim, I have used both the SSRs and the TSL Radials and been happy with each. They have both been 33x12.50 x15

Interco is bringing a 35" and 40" LTB out within a month or so. Had a 34" LTB that wore slow and was good handling. A little loud though.
My Boggers....Ah nevermind, she'd stab ya:lmao:
The 37 MTR's on the AMG have been very good off road and are pretty quiet. Only problem is they are just plain stupid expensive :banghead:

I used to run the SSRs in a 33 x 14.50 x 15. Nice tire. Rode well on the road (for the type of tire that they are), weren't overly noisy, and worked great off road. Don't think I'd run them in the winter on the road though (at least where I live).
I currently run the Pit Bull Rockers in the 35 x 14.50 x 15 size. Excellent on the road for as aggressive as they are. Surprisingly quiet - not much louder than the old 31-inch BFG Muds that I had years ago! Definitely quieter than my old 35-inch Boggers (duh!).
The Rockers work great off road. But - being a bias ply tire, they will wear quicker on the pavement than a radial.
As Lucas is fond of saying.....just my 2 cents!!

Jim I would stay away from LTBs with the miles youre talkin my neighbor got 12k outta his..with what you've said so far I think SSR's would fit your bill I ran them on the Rubi with great results I felt they handled well on the street and on the trail. they were also wearing really well...
I say go for it!!
