long story short, day before easter my wife was baking and preparing stuff for easter dinner at our house. I decided to take my 5yr old son and 2yr old daddys girl in the jeep ( to get out of moms hair of course ). We drove down some local 2 tracks (respecting the 2wd rule), never pulled it into 4wd and rarely into 2nd gear, we picked up trash on average every 40 yards or so,and did this for 3 1/2 hours. It was a great time , seen deer, turkeys, and a lot of birds. It made me feel real good inside because I got to spend some time with my kids and taught my son the importance of packing out what you pack in.
It made me realize how easy it is to teach kids to do the right thing. I plan on doing alot more trail clean up this summer, and maybe get a little wheelin in to.

That's GREAT!
:yourock:
Bringing the next generation up to respect what we have (while in a motorized vehicle :D) is a lot more important than people realize.
Nice to see you do such a good job.
There's another great opportunity coming up in conjunction with our next GLFWDA Quarterly meeting. The Clean Up is on Saturday and the Meeting is on Sunday. The two events are only a half hour, or so, from each other.
It'd be great to see you there.
We could use the help.

I would love to go, but I'm having some front axle seal issues. If I get that resolved by then, I just might make the trip, that is one area I planned on exploring this year. Its too bad there are so many others out there that contribute to the problems we as 4wheelers have to overcome.

If you'd really like to participate but can't get the seal fixed in time, you can also show up in a car and find someone at registration to pair up and ride with.
There are a lot of people who show up with WAY more hauling capacity than they can possibly fill by themselves.

Thank You!
Your absolutely right, if we take the time to teach them and involve them when they are young it makes a number of things a great deal easier as they get older.
