it has become painfully clear to me that i am a poor fit for the vice presidents position. so at this time i feel its in the best intrest of the association that i resign as vice president of glfwda. i am very sorry that this didnt work out better for the association. i had alot of fun during my stay on the bod! the current bod is a great bunch of guys! i will work with the bod if they wish until my replacement can be found. i encourage any and all interesed parties to contact any bod member or even myself about the open vice presidents position. if you know someone you think would do a good job, please bring this member to our attention so we can talk to him/her.
we have many new members to our association in the last year or two, and i personally invite one of you newer members to jump on board. new ideas is what we need. this is not a popularity contest(im proof). its not who you know in the association. you dont have to have the best ride. its about who cares about the association. its about you being passionate about our cause. this job wont take alot of your time usually. it was alot of fun. its a great bunch of guys to work with! if you have any questions feel free to pm me. if you prefer, i could put you in contact with a couple past v.p.'s also. any questions or comments about the position can be kept confidiential if your unsure about your intrest.
im not leaving the association. my dues are paid. i will continue to work with the association because i believe in our cause.
i have no ill will towards the association, or any of its members.
i just didnt fit the mold of the vice president.
im sure there are many members out there that would make a great v.p.
help us find one of those members. it could be you!
