They will hold a block of 10 rooms for us until the end of March. However, they do not start taking reservations until 3/8/08, they are closed for the winter. They are once again offering 2-for-1 room discounts in April, so make your reservations early!

Also, they can make the meeting room available to us at a small additional charge for a M&G Saturday evening, please indicate in your post if you are interested.

Will they allow more than 10 rooms if requested?
Or is their rate limited to only the first 10 registered?

Rate is for the month of April - they will hold at least 10 rooms for us, if more are booked then the cost of the meeting rooms comes down, so book away!

I'm new, so bear with me, but is there a ride Saturday? (unofficial, I know).

Nothing planned for Saturday in an official way. The Two Trackers are planning their 10th Annual national forest cleanup day for Saturday April 19 - some of us in town for the Quarterly will be heading down to help out, their jumping off point is about 1/2 hour drive south of Silver Lake. If we can get our business concluded early enough on Sunday we will be heading out in groups for sure, and I am guessing there will be a number of members in town Saturday who will also be heading to the Dunes for part or all of the day.

you buy one night, get one night free. rooms start at $87.00 per night(weeknights), for a queen bed with 2 guests and go up from there.
107.00 to 117.00 on weekends for a queen.

We'll be coming down friday night (can't go wrong with a two for one deal)and will have all of Saturday to play on the dunes. We've never been there either but are looking foward to it. Is anyone else wheeling the dunes Saturday,or just Sunday? We would like to hook up with someone that knows their way around.

ill be on the dunes when they open sat am. i would gladly show around anyone that is unfamiliar with silverlake.
its not that big, even if we didnt meet up just go out there and drive it.
you cant possibly be lost for more than 15 mins! a few other members that have never been there were interested in checking it out.
dont forget you do need an orv sticker and a silverlake approved flag.
anyone wanting to meet for a ride first thing sat am, post it here so we can get a head count.

My wife and I would love to meet up Saturday morning, just say when and where.. About the flags....
Do they sell flag kits at the park or is there another, better alternative?

There are a number of places in the Mears area where you can buy one - just make sure you have a 1/2 hole on a flat surface, or a bolt that will back out (I used my tow hook bolt). The sell flat brackets and 90 degree brackets at most of the shops.

i hit the party store by the hotel on the corner a few years ago fri night. they had one for sale. think it was 25.00 ish? just drill a 1/2 inch hole in the top of your bumper for the flag.
usually we met in the main parking lot near the front by the restrooms as soon as they open.

Anyone heading up on Sunday AM? I'm working Sat. and would like to split the ride with someone on Sunday. I can drive, heading over 94-696-96-some northern highway!

Thanks for the offer Joe, but looks like some plans have changed. Don't see us making the trip this weekend. Wheel some for us, too.
