Dealership to hold offroad event *NEW INFO*

I just recieved a phone call from the manager of the Tubbs Brothers Jeep dealership regarding an event thay want to do at their location in Sandusky MI.

He is starting from scratch on this and is looking for our help. It looks as though we will have to go to their dealership and help them with the start up. I will be meeting with them soon.

They are looking at a show & shine and some competitive events like mud bog and tough truck. Maybe some rocks!

Is there interest in participating?

Is there interest in helping?

He says that Daimler Chrysler's Jeep division is going to help sponsor this.

NEW INFO:

This event will be held July 16 from 9am untill you drop sometime that evening.
There will be Rock Crawling and obstacle course plus RTI ramp, show and shine for trail rigs and street sweepers with classes for both. These guys want to go big with a band and some fireworks and maybe a monster truck.

Booths for vendors and food concessions, kids can bring there power wheels for a competition with trophies. This will be a family event with no alcohol.

These guys are looking to Great Lakes to run the rock course and the obstacle course. We are on the ground floor with this so lets help make it a success!

I will of course post more when we get more details.

That's getting close to the UFWDA Trail Ride/Convention dates, Pat. I hope to be in MT or on the way at least.

My thoughts as well Doug, the only thing about United convention is it does not look like it will be financially feasible for GL to send it's delegates this year. :(

So, in other words I will be able to attend this dealer event.

I had to cancell todays appointment due to the weather and me having plowed snow for 16 hours straight.

Mention of DMC helping them answers a question for me , our local jeep dealer had mentioned somthing simular to me . Hes way to cheap to do it out of his pocket :blink:

I have been there twice now to look at the grounds, lots of land and obstacle course is already in place.

They are furnishing the rocks and the equipment for everything, they have a John Deere dealership next door&#33;

These guys want to make this the biggest event of its kind in MI. They are very ambitious&#33;
