Ok, I have my SWR meter.
I have tuned into channel 12 with the SWR knob and it is at 1.
Channel 12 because it is halfway between 4 and 19 (almost).
So whats next?
Do I mess with the tip of the antenna, it cant be that easy.
Thanks for any help!!:yourock:

The normal recommended procedure for tuning a CB antenna instructs you to check standing wave ratio (SWR) on Channels 1 and 40 and use that information to determine if the antenna is electrically long or electrically short.
