Unfortunatley Kim and I will be in Florida again this year. But I will be thinking of you guys as I lay on the beach soaking up sun and sand flea bites.
And if you ask real nice Mike I might let you borrow my truck and trailer to tow your Jeep up north. As long as whne I get it back the bed is full of gummy worms!
I love gummy worms

Somebody in the know tell me, do I need an ORV sticker for the Opener???
I see mine will expire on 3/31/05.
Just want to be prepared and not slow the process down.
Is there a place to buy them in Indian River on Friday morning??
Thanks for the info!
WhiteRhino
March 17th, 2005, 09:38 AM
You do not need an ORV sticker to travel on state roads if:
You are street legal and insured.
You are not within the boundrys of an ORV area. IE: Silver Lake, Bull Gap, Mounds
You are not on an ORV route.
I do not believe that any of the Troll's runs will be on ORV routes so, you should be fine for the Spring Opener.
But, if you are going to any of the other places this year, it wouldn't hurt to pick one up.

March 21st, 2005, 01:51 PM
More of the white stuff fell this weekend. I got 4 more inches of wet heavy snow and I'm just south of Indian River (30 miles). This should make things interesting.
I had to recover a gas well worker from my field yesterday. He tried to go back to the well on my property and got stuck almost 1/4 mile back on my property. The drifts were deep, but I made it back to him and hand winched him out of the holes he made in the snow with his ranger. I got stuck a few times trying to back out in reverse, but managed to get out with a few minutes of shovel work.
If we don't get a good thaw soon the Spring Opener will be lots of fun!!!

I was with the Troll's doing some prerunning Saturday. We were in places where there was 2+ feet of snow.
If you happened to drop a tire off of the trail, you had a real challenge to get out.
Bobby even had the privelige to pull out the Trick Pony with the wife's Passport.
If it stays cold, it will be fun!

We just scouted yesterday (26th). It'll be close. There was planty of snow (we scouted on sleds!), but it is supposed to be warm this week. At the very least, there will be planty of mud and water. With luck, the bigger puddles will have ice in/on them!

Well, i'm in the Soo and we don't hardly have any snow left. I hear that it may snow on friday in indian river though. Seems the band from Grayling to just south of the Mac bridge got more snow than we did up here this year.
Gonna be 47 and rain this afternoon up here...that will prolly kill all the snow that is left in my yard.
Indian river is 52 right now and is going to 59 later. Thunderstorms tonight, rqain on thursday, hahah...then snow on friday, rain and snow on saturday then partly cloudy on sunday with all three in the mid 40's. This outa be interesting. We'll see it all this weekend!
Gonna be a wet sloppy mess. Gonna cost 100 bucks to wash the Jeep after this.

But again my thanks go out to the Trolls and all who helped put on the event , we had a great time and I'm still staring at the Extreme air tank I (my wife) won at the banquet.
