I just wanted to say "hi" again to all the members of GLFWDA and What Lies Beyond who myself and SquirrelWJ ran into this weekend! The odds of us running in are astronomical, so i'm going to go play the lotto...

In the meantime, hello again! It was GREAT seeing all the GLFWDA stickers and smiling faces (and putting the names to faces as well). I have my stickers finally, I need to get my lazy butt up there and put them on my jeep now!

Oh, SquirrelWJ and I did some trail maintenance after meeting up with you guys. A few fallen trees.

Did you guys ever find connecting trails? Let me know if you need my tracks too... :yourock:

My wife and I almost took a drive up there Sunday but we got a later start (had to see the F1 season finale race) and ended up just putting around Sterling some.

"It's a small world after all, it's a small...."

We had a good time, poked our noses down a bunch of tight trails that we normally don't travel (never let the guy with a GPS, a map book and no sense of direction lead the group :ahhh:) and generally had a good time. I found out too late that we were poking around in an area that won't help with connectors, but has some potential for adding some extra miles to the system at a later date.

It was fun seein' ya'll on the trails on Sunday. Dan and I ended up on a set of trails of our own that were getting a little bit tight. (it's useful to know my mirrors bend both ways...)

Worrisome part was when my CEL came on and was telling me I had misfires in my #1 cylinder and I still had a 6 hour drive to get back to Houghton.

I'll have to look up WLB next time I'm home. Would be good to go wheelin' with some of you guys

We are going to start planning some regular day trips to the northern LP, maybe we can meet you 1/2 way.
