With public land closures on the rise, would you pay an annual fee to become a member of a new national off-road association that unites all off-road enthusiasts / groups and lobbied to keep trails open for your use?93% of the 637 respondents supported this. Hello? What the heck is the UFWDA? A quilters club???

Are the JJ folks on the outs with UFWDA?

I went and visited the web site http://www.jeepjamboreeusa.com/ to check it out. The fact they use the word "new" makes one wonder.

Hunter4x4 is a Local Jeep Jamboree Coordinator, maybe he has some thoughts. I will send him a PM to this topic.

Just as an update, I followed the "See voting details & past results" link and that particular poll isn't even listed. Curiouser and curiouser...

No and my schedule did not allow me to follow it up. I did talk to Mike at the ORV Advisory Board Meeting and he was telling me he had typed a response, timed out and lost it...

I am in crash season mode and have even less time to spare.

I had asked the question over on the UFWDA Forum ...
The Oak Ridge JJ leaders were going to contact JJ for more info ...
I bumped it for a reply.

I requested a clarification from JJ way back when this was initially posted thru the "contact" on their website.
The response was to ask what I was talking about & when I clarified it I was never given a response even after re-requesting it twice more...

I have finally received a response...
It is as follows:

"The association mentioned is one that is being sponsored through Jeep Jamboree USA. We have had many of our participants say they would like to see us do something along this line. We are in the process of getting it going. The question was fielded to get a broader response."

It leaves me baffled on many fronts...
