Weekend Travel

Headed north for the M-Triangle, Cadillac, on Friday.

I typically avoid going north on a prime Holiday weekend due to traffic.

My options are US 127 north from Ohio to US 10 & M 115 OR
I 69, I 94, US 131.

What is your experience on US 131 on a Holiday weekend??

Which route would you recommend?

I have never been on US 131 on a Holiday.

:eek: Don't take 131 through, or anywhere near, Grand Rapids on a Holiday!
Unless you like doing 5 mph on a freeway! :banghead:

131 is a GREAT way to go, but NOT until you're north enough to reach M-57.

Your 127 to 10/ 115 sounds best, but you could also consider 127 to 57 to 131. You'll have more miles of 2 lane on 57 than you will on 10/115 though.

M57 is a decent road if you don't mind 2 lane highway. We frequently take M57 over to 131 on our way to the dunes from the Flint area since we are usually towing either a camper or a Jeep and not traveling over 55mph anyway.

That was my best guess but I had to ask without any Holiday experience on US 131. Thanks for the warning Pat B!

127/10/115 be the way, just don't know arrival time yet Pat K.
