This past weekend Kim and I were camping at Aloha State park on Mullet Lake with my parents and Sisters family. While were sitting on the beach saturday my sister started a conversation with a gal about this and that.

Throughout the rest of the day they continued, as gals often do. Around dinner time my brother-in law and my sisters new friends husband and kids went out tubing on the boat. So I went to ask my sister what were they thinking as we wanted to EAT. (dont make me wait for dinner in other words) While joining in their banter I discovered they live in Waterford and they know Whiterhino from his water skiing days and are also good friends with my sisters good friends. And on saturday Kim and I drove up to Mackinaw City and stopped at another campground to check it out and discovered old family friends have a seasonal lot there.

But it dosent stop there, one of my very own Tri-City Trailriders club members was also camping there and he brought a buddy that I used to play softball with a few years back.

Then to top that off I had a guy approach me about my Jeep which was parked on our site. He lives in Alpena and knows Aaron Young and Zach Plume (both former GL members and friends of mine) and he has a YJ he has been working on.

It's a small world after all.

It's funny how you run into people like that. My wife and I were in Hawaii two years ago on vacation and a lady came up to Jan and called her by her name. My wife didn't know who it was, but she introduced herself and it was my wife's neighbor when she was a kid back in North Carolina and used to babysit Jan after school until her parents got home from work.

His name is Joe Stanley.

While on this subject, last year when a few of us went to Tellico and Windrock we were pulling into a campground in the middle of Tennesse and run into my cousin whom I hadnt seen in at least 20 years. Turns out he lives in Tellico Plains and was at this particular campground with his family for the weekend. He has since been calling me pricing out parts for his new build.

Can't place Joe Stanley. Can you elaborate?

And on the subject of Pat's cousing. We talked to this guy for about a half hour. Where he was from in Michigan, where he lived, what he did for a living. What is Pat thinking at this time?

As he was driving away, Pat say "hey, I think that was my cousin". :ahhh:

We turn around and look and he was out of sight.:hysterical:

Joe Stanley said he knew you from the Spraymasters ski team. He still ski's regularly and lives on a lake in Waterford. He has an 11 year old son and a 13 year old daughter and him and his wife are in their late 40's. Thats all I know.

Ha,
Now I got it. He lives on Williams Lake.
I know Joe a different way. One of my best friends used to live next door to him. Joe is a big time snow skier also.

And he was 12 the last I saw him. It's all in good fun, I could see me doing the same. Nothing more priceless than the "it just dawned on me" look. :D
