HELLO,
Thanks for the mail , the price $3500 for the ( 1996 Jeep Cherokee ) is ok by Me. Payment will be made by certified cashier check or money order drawn from a reputable bank in the U.S of $6000.00 by a client of mine in the state as an amount oweing, so he said it can only be issued on a single ,certified cashier check or money order and can be cashed at any local outlets in your area. All I need from you is your full name and address including phone number so I can fax it to my client.
So as soon as you receive payment you will deduct your actual amount and extra $100 for your running arround and wire the rest of the funds to my shipper via Western Union Money Transfer to my shipper who will be coming to your location to do the pick up and he is also shipping some items I placed order for in care of him.
I want you to send me an email with the Pics of the item for more verification.Confirm this and mail me back with neccessary details for the issuing out of the ,certified cashier check or money order.

NAME IN FULL.....
ADDRESS IN FULL.
CITY....
STATE.........
ZIPCODE.......

I still have the Jeep, as for the final selling price I just put it up for
sale and I have alot of people interested in it so I would need you to make
me an offer. I would say its in really good shape, it has a small (quarter
size) rust spot on under the passenger side front door on the rocker pannel.
It only has a few minor scratches on it. The interior has no rips, tears or
holes in it, and it only has a couple small stains on the seats.
Feel free to give me a call I'll be happy to answer any more questions you
may have and we can set up a time were you can come out and see it.
Thanks
Tim

Guy at work had the same thing happen last week. Ebay, buy it now for his car. SAME EXACT SYSTEM! Will mail more that you asked, just send back the rest to him and we're all set!

Ebay didn't do anything, they just let him relist the car.

If it's ebay, don't even bother replying to them, forward them directly to ebay's spoof email adress.

How that works, is you cash that check, wire him the extra back, and someone picks up the car.
Then in a couple of days, the bank finds out that the check you cashed is bogus, and takes all the money back out of your account, including the extra that you sent back to him.
Now you are out the jeep, and the money, and it is extremely hard for the police to track him down, and more so, since he is in Canada.

So, run away from that deal.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

dont sell without cash! no checks of any kind! if they cant come see it and have cash, then its not for sale.

Sounds fishy to me. There are too many people out there willing to buy it for cash to need to take that kind of risk. Thanks for posting this. I think this is a heads up for a lot of us. Good luck selling the Jeep.

I had just about the exact same message come back to me within minutes of emailing somebody on the Craiglist about a YJ for sale. I never replied and about 10 minutes later that listing had been flagged for removal.
